For the second year in a row, Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland has ranked 8th in the world for hospitality management, confirming our position as one of the world’s finest culinary schools, and the number one culinary school in Switzerland. Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland is the only culinary institute recognized in the QS world rankings – a true testament to its world-class standards and Swiss approach to teaching culinary arts.

If 2021 saw our school make an impressive headway into the pantheon of top ten schools, 2022 firmly establishes our reputation. We have significantly improved our average scores for academic and employer reputation.

What makes Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland one of the best culinary schools in the world?

1. From the kitchen to the boardroom

We are firm believers in the dual Swiss model which skillfully integrates theory and practice. We combine hands-on learning with a clear focus on helping our students grow as people, entrepreneurs, and leaders.

Students can choose from pathways in culinary arts, pastry & chocolate arts, and vegetarian culinary arts and graduate after a year of vocational training with a Swiss Grand Diploma. They can also choose to pursue the full three years for a bachelor’s degree and spend over 1’100 hours in the kitchen, alongside management and entrepreneurship classes. Our strong focus on building both practical and business skills ensures our students are well-rounded graduates who go on to become great chefs and establish their own businesses.

2. Learn from the best

Our world-class chef instructors have worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and have even cooked for royalty.

Hands-on masterclasses with culinary legends provides our students with unique experiences and gives them valuable insider knowledge in the process.

We work closely with industry partners whose expertise and insights inform our curriculum, ensuring that what we teach is relevant for the workplace.

3. State-of-the-art facilities

Students can hone their culinary craft in state-of-the-art kitchens that most chefs can only dream of. Every aspect of our learning environment is designed to inform and inspire, from our cutting-edge facilities and interactive learning tools to a 100-seat training restaurant.

With spaces uniquely tailored for different stages of culinary development, students learn every aspect of working in and managing a professional kitchen.

4. A strong community of faculty, staff, students, and alumni

Achieving this kind of academic recognition is a combined effort that reflects the dedication of everyone involved, from operations to academic staff and chef instructors, current students and alumni, academic and industry partners. “I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished together as a community,” says Ms. Florenthal.
